The brief for this iconic building was restoring it to its former glory, whilst enhancing its natural features and adding modern elements that would draw younger members to the club and allow it to host commercial functions.
S4B worked with the club to provide a design that included all of the desired elements within their budget. However the key to this commission was in the delivery.
Older heritage buildings nearly always present an issue with the inability to understand what lies beneath the skin of the building until the demolition and re-construction begins. S4B began the journey on the Country club during the construction phase. S4B’s relationship with Buildcorp and its subcontractors assisted in the problem solving and re-design on site as the demolition commenced and construction continued. Through our experience, we were able to anticipate many of the issues and, being on site a lot of the time, allowed the construction to continue without delay and deliver a fantastic finished product for the club.
